Downstairs is a large open plan living room and dining room with acres of space to relax under the cool vaulted ceilings and easy access directly out into the large lawned garden and olive trees beyond.

Upstairs are the sleeping quarters and a simple breakfast kitchen and dining room, while in the annex to the side of the main building is a second fully equipped ground floor kitchen, ideal for eating out under the portico or inside in the downstairs dining room.

The property is situated in the hills outside Ascoli Piceno in the vicinity of the small hamlet of Abbazia di Rosara, just half an hour's drive from the Adriatic Coast and in the foothills of the Apennine mountains.

Most boxes can be ticked for the discerning Italianophile here, from art and culture in the historic surrounding towns to walking, trekking, horseriding or just relaxing by the pool.

And the restaurants in the area are renowned for their wonderful cuisine and reasonable prices.

The bedrooms are a mixture of seven doubles, two twins and a single and all have en suite shower and bathroom. There is also a bath in one of the en suite bedrooms. Single beds can also be added to the larger double rooms as required.
