This little cottage, originally a hayloft, stands next to the main farmhouse where the owner still lives.

It has been carefully restored by the owners using traditional materials - cotto floors, beamed ceilings and the bedroom and bathroom floored in the local travertine stone to be cool under foot in the hot summer months.

The property is set in an enchanting private garden from which panoramic views over Siena and Montalcino abound, and it is equipped with table and chairs so ideal for al fresco dining.

Seasonal fruit and vegetables produced by the owners are always on hand and they also keep various farmyard animals in the vicinity.

The nearby town of Asciano, at 6km, provides restaurants, bars, shops, a railway station, mountain bike rental and a taxi service.

On request the owner can also organize bike and trekking tours. Farm produce such as olive oil is also available for purchase.

Independent cottage on two floors. Ground floor has an ample living/dining room with fireplace and small kitchen (four ring stove, fridge/freezer, sofabed and TV On the first floor is a spacious and light double bedroom with lovely views and an en suite bathroom with shower.

The swimming pool is for the use of guests and the owners but can be exclusively for guests on request.
