This enchanting seventeenth century Tuscan hillside country house is surrounded by ancient woodland and perched high overlooking the rolling hills and valleys which dominate this part of the Arezzo province.
A covered loggia leads to the garden with plenty of outdoor furniture dotted around the property and pool, providing ample space to relax in the shade and enjoy an aperitif before dining, courtesy of the private kitchen and small restaurant at the property, with cook provided (on request).
Many original features have been retained at the villa, such as the various open fireplaces and the traditional floor tiling and beamed ceilings. These are complemented by the fine attention to detail in Villa Palumbo, from the Venetian glass chandeliers and wrought-iron beds to the gold-framed mirrors and stylish furnishings.
There is much to see and do in the area around Arezzo and the owners of the villa can help organise various activities, among them photography and cooking courses, wine and gastronomic tours, sightseeing, cultural and historical tours, walking, mountain biking and shopping trips.
Other activities available in the local area include horse riding, golf, tennis, parachuting and hill trekking and fishing.
It is the ideal base for fascinating naturalistic, cultural and archaeological excursions to Valtiberina, Casentino, Valdichiana, Valdarno, as well as the nearby centres of Arezzo, Cortona, Sansepolcro, Siena, Firenze, Perugia and Urbino.
