Near Senigallia, Marche, Italy

Imposing historic villa, with six apartments sleeping between two and five guests, with swimming pool (12x6m)

The land on which this building stands was originally home to a convent and became the subject of a quarrel between two important landowners in the seventeenth century. The existing building dates from the turn of the eighteenth century and as well as the grand farmhouse where the apartments are located, there is a church on the grounds built by Earl Antonio Camillo Marazzani Visconti in 1791.

On the ground floor is a large communal living room complete with large open fireplace and a separate kitchen which guests are welcome to use. The ground floor also has a mini apartment specially adapted for disabled access.

A further three apartments are found on the first floor and another two on the second.

All the apartments are simply but thoughtfully restored and furnished with a mixture of the owner's antique family furniture and other rustic and imperial pieces made from cherry, walnut, iron and marble among others.

Casa Enrico is ideally located in very pretty countryside but just 4 miles from the Adriatic Coast and the seaside resort of Senigallia, popular with Italian and foreign tourists alike.

Mountain biking, walking and horse riding are all available nearby, providing ideal ways of enjoying the scenery and the wildlife. The property itself is blessed with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and and Misa river valley in particular.

And the property has its own swimming pool with Roman steps set in private grounds in the heart of the northern Marche hills found inland from the coast.

Apart from Senigallia, other nearby towns and villages of interest include Corinaldo, Ostra, Serra de Conti, Morro d'Alba (home of La Lacrima wine) and Piticchio.
