Felix Stewart fell in love with Marche
when he first travelled to the region in 1997. He explains:
"I knew Marche
was in Italy but not an awful lot more."
"Coming from North Yorkshire, a part of England not short on landscapes or history itself, I was instantly mesmerised by Marche's enchanting mixture of wild beauty, warm and friendly people and relaxed way of life.
"After numerous trips and holidays I finally decided to move to the region in 2000 and have never looked back.
"Today my love of Marche
is stronger than ever and I still wonder at its stunning scenery - the beautiful medieval towns, rolling hills, secret valleys and miles upon miles of beautiful coastline - and its strong traditions and superb cuisine.
"Having fallen in love with Marche I introduced it to my brothers and sisters, who are now regular visitors with their families.
"But organising much of their accommodation I discovered suitable places to stay were not always easy to find. So I resolved to make it easier for people to come and enjoy Marche, staying in one of its many wonderfully restored properties, and the result is Marche Holiday Homes."

Felix Stewart hat sich 1997 zum ersten Mal in Italien verliebt, als er zuerst in die Region Marche reiste, die im Osten von der Adriaküste und im Westen von Toskana und Umbrien begrenzt wird.
"Ich wusste von Toskana und Umbrien, obwohl ich noch nie dort gewesen war und kaum von Marken gehört hatte."
"Das alles hat sich schnell gewandelt und ich verbringe jetzt so viel Zeit, wie ich die Landschaften und die Geschichte aller drei genießen kann. Toskana, Umbrien und Marken sind ähnlich, aber sehr unterschiedlich.
"Zusammen bilden sie das Herz Italiens und bieten einige der schönsten Landschaften, die ihren Kunst-, Kultur- und Geschichtsreichtum ergänzen.
"Heute ist meine Liebe zu Mittelitalien stärker denn je und ich wundere mich immer noch über die Menschen und Orte - die schönen mittelalterlichen Städte, die sanften Hügel, die geheimen Täler und die kilometerlangen wunderschönen Küsten - sowie die starken Traditionen und die hervorragende Küche.
"Nachdem ich mich in die Gegend verliebt hatte, stellte ich sie meinen Brüdern und Schwestern vor, die jetzt regelmäßige Besucher ihrer Familien sind.
"Bei der Organisation eines Großteils ihrer Unterbringung fand ich jedoch nicht immer leicht, geeignete Unterkünfte zu finden. Daher habe ich beschlossen, es den Menschen zu erleichtern, die Toskana zu besuchen und in einem der vielen wunderschön restaurierten Häuser zu bleiben. Das Ergebnis ist Toscana Ferienwohnungen."

Having established a successful business as a provider of luxury villas and apartments in central Italy and promoting the Marche region especially, he began travelling Italy in search of other unspoilt regions - and came across Puglia:
