The organic farm which comprises Il Casotto is set in the rolling Tuscan hills and is surrounded by wood and farmland.

The property is ideal for a large group of guests renting the whole complex or three families, ideal for those who wish to spend a relaxing holiday among the hills and woodlands of rural Tuscany.

The cottages and main villa all have private gardens with outdoor dining and furniture.

There is also a communal building with large open plan dining room, ideal for special occasions such as weddings.

Less than two miles away is the small town of Rassina, which has shops, bar, post office, bank, chemist.

Il Casotto is ideal for larger family and group holidays, sleeping 18 guests. The stone properties are found at an elevation of around 450m in the Tuscan hills between the Casentino Valley and the National Park of the Casentinesi Forests.

Local attractions of significant cultural or historical importance include the Santuario della Verna, the monastery of Camaldoli, the castles of Casentino and the wildlife park at Poppi.

Fifty acres of land surrounds Il Casotto, all completely fenced, meaning parties with well behaved dogs can be welcomed. Produced on the land are organic olives, fruits and vegetables,lovingly nurtured using only traditional Tuscan methods.

For those wanting to explore a little further afield Tuscany's delights need little explanation here. Florence, Cortona and Siena are all within easy reach for day trips and even closer to hand is Arezzo, where much of Roberto Benigni's Oscar winning La Vita è Bella was filmed.

Casa Padronale: (450sq m) Sleeping eight guests on three levels, the ground floor has a large living room with stone arches, dining room with large fireplace, kitchen with pantry, washroom and loo. On the first floor are two double bedrooms and a twin room, all with private bathrooms. The second floor tower with eight surrounding windows has a third double bedroom with private bathroom with shower and jacuzzi.Sleeps 8

La Chiesina: (140sq m) Spacious cottage on two levels for four people, divided into two independent suites, each with double bed, en suite bathroom with shower, living room with fireplace, dining area and kitchen corner. Private patio and garden with al fresco dining. Sleeps 4

Casa Falco: (150sq m) Two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, each with private bathroom. Two living rooms with fireplace, two dining areas each with kitchen corner. Outside a large terrace and covered portico offer splendid views. Sleeps 6
